Ensemble SurPlus 20th Anniversary Concert in Freiburg

I’m thrilled to announce a new commission by Ensemble SurPlus for their 20th anniversary concert in Freiburg at the E-WERK Freiburg. The piece will be approximately 10 minutes long and be written for flute, oboe, 2 clarinets, 2 percussionists, 2 pianists, 2 violins, viola, cello, and double bass. The concert itself will take place on December 8, 2012 and will also include world premieres from Dieter Mack and Claus-Steffen Mahnkopf. I have a deep respect for the interpretive rigor and expert musicality of Ensemble SurPlus and am honored to be invited to work with them again. I’ll continue to update as the project progresses…
