Website launched

July 17th, 2012

Halfway through a very busy summer and my website is finally up and running! 2012 has been a very active year so far, with a fair bit of time and effort going into System Vandross, a collaborative project with cellist TJ Borden which we have been touring around the east coast, with performances so far in BrooklynBuffaloCleveland, and Akron. TJ and I are planning to release System Vandross as a full-length LP in November of 2012.

I was able to take a few days off working after shipping out a freshly double-bar-lined piece to Talea Ensemble for Harvard University’s Summer Composition Institute. The piece is about twelve minutes long, scored for Bass Flute, Bass Clarinet, Glockenspiel, Keyboard, Violin, Viola, and Cello, and is called Shindō no su (nest of vibration). Talea will premiere it on Sunday, August 26th, in Paine Concert Hall in the Harvard Music Building under the baton of the mighty Eduardo Leandro.

At the moment, I’m sketching on a duet for bassoon and cello for Pascal Gallois and Rohan de Saram, which will hopefully come to fruition by late-Spring of 2013, and preparing for a handful of other summer projects and performances, details of which to follow shortly…
